Week #6 College Football Predictions

As we head into Week 6 for college football, let's see if I can predict 5 of the 10 college games on ESPN’s college pick’em this week! Check out my predictions and thoughts below!

Pitt (4-0) vs. North Carolina (3-2) 11:00 am

My prediction - Pitt wins 34-20

Pitt is having a very strong start to their season with an impressive 4-0 record. I think they will pull out the win against UNC because last week, UNC blew a 20-0 lead in the 4th quarter against Duke and 2 weeks ago, they lost a brutal game to James Madison 70-50. I think the Pitt defense will have no problem stopping the UNC offense and I think that the Pitt offense will have an easy time moving the ball down the field in this game.

Boston college (4-1) vs. Virginia (3-1) 11:00 am

My prediction- Virginia wins 31-27

After a bad loss to Maryland in week 3, Virginia bounced back in a huge way with a commanding win over Coastal Carolina 43-24. I think the home field advantage will really help them in this game and I think they will pull out the win.

Missouri (4-0) vs. Texas A&M (4-1) 11:00 am

My prediction- Texas A&M wins 28-27

For a team that is ranked in the top 10 of the AP poll, I think Missouri isn’t as good as many people think. Although they are 4-0, Their last two games have ended in one score games against unranked teams with a 27-20 win against Boston College and a Double OT win against Vanderbilt 30-27. I think Texas A&M will pull off the win because they are the home team and I think their defense will limit Missouri but the game will still be very close.

Rutgers (4-0) vs. Nebraska (4-1) 3:00 pm

My prediction- Rutgers wins 31-30

I think Rutgers will pull off the upset. They have gotten off to a 4-0 record which is a great start and I think they will continue that momentum coming into the game at Nebraska. Their offense has really been able to move the ball down the field and their QB has only thrown 1 INT the entire season. Even though they are the home team, Nebraska is coming off of a loss to #24Illinois and I think that their Freshman QB will struggle against this Rutgers defense who has only allowed 16.2 ppg this season.

Miami (5-0) vs. Cal (3-1) 9:30 pm

My prediction- Miami wins 38-14

I think this game will be a breeze for Miami. Their offense is averaging almost 50 points per game and Even though they are the away team, I think their defense will have no problem stopping this Cal offense who put up only 9 points against Florida state in their last game. I think Miami QB Cam Ward will have 400+ passing yards and will have no problem at all moving the ball down the field in this matchup.
